Mazda Contract Vehicle Hire

If you are looking to lease a car then Mazda contract vehicle hire could be a good option.

Mazda is a Japanese car manufacturer founded in 1920 originally as a machine tools manufacturer, it began making cars in 1931. In an effort to show they were different from other car manufacturers Mazda put a lot of effort into developing the Wankel rotary engine, this engine is currently used in the RX-8 and are now the only car manufacturer to make this engine.

Ford still hold a 3% financial stake in the company, although this has reduced from 33.4% that they did hold in 1996, it was this same year that the first non-Japanese CEO was appointed –Henry Wallace – by Ford in a effort to restructure Mazda and make it more efficient.
In the UK Mazda currently offer a good range of vehicles from the small and compact Mazda 2 to the B-series pick up trucks.

One of the latest Mazda advertising campaigns uses the connection between horse and rider with the horse being an extension of the rider, communicating by feel; it compares this connection to that of driving a new Mazda, making driving fun again.

Contract Car Leasing Special Offers

The internet is full of contract car leasing special offers, most of these are genuine offers that you can take advantage of should you so wish. However if you see an offer that really does look too good to be true then the chances are it is! You may well find when you make a serious enquiry that you are met with “I’m sorry those cars have all gone, but we can offer you an alternative” this alternative will probably not be comparable to the one you were originally enquiring about, the special offer has done its job though as you are now talking to a sales adviser about a different car!

The genuine offers out there are worth looking at, just make sure you check that the mileage allowance is suitable for you or can be altered to suit your needs, also check that length of the contract is acceptable to you –most contracts a three years in length make sure your special offer isn’t a five year contract.

Contract car leasing special offers usually come about when the manufacturer decides they want more of their cars on the road so offer bigger discounts that leasing companies can take advantage of and make available to the end user.

Car Leasing With Insurance

Speak to the majority of leasing companies and they will tell you that at least once a day they will be asked if they can offer car leasing with insurance in the monthly cost, the answer always…..no. The reasons, the cost of insurance is so variable, it is dependent on your age, where you live, motoring history and what you do for a living.

However there are now a few vehicles on certain contracts that can now be offered with insurance included in the monthly cost of your car lease, of course this will be subject to terms and conditions, there will be age restrictions and the usual use of your vehicle , no track days or racing! Assuming you are happy with these terms then there are advantages to car leasing with insurance, you know exactly what your motoring budget is each month, especially if you decide to add a maintenance package to your contract, one direct debit does it all, the only extra cost you could have is putting fuel in the car.

This will only be suitable for some people, it will only be available to private individuals aged between 21-75, and for all the obvious reasons it can’t be included on business contracts.

Long Term Contract Car Leasing

Although car leasing is becoming more popular and more well known, people do still confuse long term contract car leasing with car hire; two very different products! Car hire usually is for short periods of time, often not more than a month charged by the day or week. Long term contract car leasing is usually 2,3 or even 4 years in length paid for monthly.

Long term contract car leasing has become a popular way to be consistently driving a car of less than four years in age. Whilst it used to be mainly business users who would take out these contracts for their employees, it is now much more common for individuals to take a lease car paid for often by car allowances from work.

Having a car on lease allows you to know that in 3 years time you will change your car again, so as your circumstances and lifestyle change you have regular scheduled times to change your car. Knowing this means you can be indulgent and maybe have a convertible for a couple of years without the risk of depreciation when you have to invest in a family car!

Used Car Leasing

Many people when considering leasing a car, search for used car leasing thinking that this may be a cheaper option than leasing a brand new car. In most circumstances this is in fact not the case as new cars often carry discounts that make them comparable to a nearly new vehicle.

Used cars will require an MOT each year which as the person leasing the vehicle, you will be responsible for as well as the cost of any repair work. As well as the MOT most manufacturers cars only have 3 or 4 years warrantee so a used car is likely to have no cover whilst being leased, if any problem occur during the lease you will be responsible for the cost of any rectification work.

However there are circumstances when leasing a used car is one of few options; for example in non-status leasing most finance companies will only provide a used car on a lease, although the finance company will do their best to find a vehicle that closely matches your requirements it is usually best to have an idea of the type of vehicle you require rather than an exact model.

Bad Credit Car Leasing

Bad Credit Car LeasingJust because you have bad credit doesn’t mean you can’t drive a new or nearly new car; but you do have to be able to afford the payments and prove that you can. A reputable leasing company will only lease a car to you if the monthly payments are not likely to put your financial situation under greater pressure.

Most importantly you must be honest when discussing your financial history with any leasing company, if defaults or CCJs have been issued they will show on a credit check, if you have not mentioned them the leasing company will have reason to believe there may be other circumstances that may have been hidden which could impact on your ability to make payments.

Leasing a vehicle whilst having poor credit can go towards rebuilding your credit rating, as long as payments are made on time then you are honoring a credit agreement which demonstrates to other lenders that you are gaining control of your financial situation once more.

Being able to build a relationship and history with a leasing company who offer this type of finance should give you a wider choice of vehicles each time your contract comes up for renewal as every time you make the monthly payment it confirms your financial credibility with them.

Should you run into difficulties during the course of a car lease always talk to the leasing company, in most cases they will try to help you keep your contract and the car but they can’t help if you don’t get in touch!

Non Status Personal Leasing…how do I go about it?

Bad Credit Car LeasingUltracar have been able to offer, for some time Personal Leasing for people with bad credit.

Put simply, it relies on 2 main factors in order to get an acceptance:

  1. You can afford the vehicle you are applying for
  2. You are traceable at your home address (electoral role is good

It doesn’t really matter much if you have bad credit, or CCJs defaults and even in some cases – Bankruptcy, its more important that you can pay for the vehicle on an ongoing basis without default.

Important Things To Know

  • The monthly rental will be more expensive than a conventional car lease. See our example vehicles section for more info
  • You will be required (in most cases) to pay 4 months up front
  • Do not apply for a vehicle you cannot afford, be honest with yourself…can you see yourself still paying for this car in 2 years time?

Beyond that, non status personal leasing works in exactly the same way that a normal personal lease works, you pay for the vehicle monthy..and then at the end of the contract, you return it and we can organize another.

Non status personal leasing is also really good for credit repair, as its a credit agreement that you will be servicing..this looks good for any potential lenders in the future.

Local Car Leasing – Good or Bad?

Car Leasing WarwickshireWhen choosing your car leasing provider…is it important for them to be local?

Ultracar have been trading in Southam, Warwickshire (around 12 miles from Coventry) for the last 10 years, so for Car Leasing in Warwickshire we tend to be quite handy and convenient.

We also have our fully fitted, air conditioned offices on Southfield Road in Southam, where you can come in and meet the team…perhaps grab a cup of tea and a donut.

Other than that, it doesn’t really matter if you choose a local car leasing company or a national one. Ultracar deliver nationwide, and there is no requirement for you to visit our offices (unless you want to of course).

Usually your vehicle will be delivered, free of charge to the UK mainland after you have completed your finance documentation and placed your order…simple as that!

Returning Lease Vehicles – Important Tips

When you return your lease car, if you aren’t careful…you can end up costing yourself quite alot of money.

I’ve certainly come across situations where the lease hirer has paid out hundreds of pounds for the return of their vehicle, you should follow these simple rules prior to returning your vehicle.

1) Make sure any damage, over and above the acceptable level is repaired PRIOR to the inspector coming to look at the vehicle.

Depending on the agent employed to recover the vehicle, it may be financially beneficial to them if the repair costs are overly-expensive. You have to bare in mind that many of these vehicles never get any “smart repairs” or stone chips removed, they simply got straight through the disposal channel employed by the owner of the vehicle/contract. Make sure you have the vehicle in tip-top condition before it goes back (well, at least in line with the return policy).

2) Make sure the servicing is up to date (inline with the Manufacturers recommendations) and the service book stamped by the person doing the work.

Many manufacturers don’t require you to have the vehicle serviced at a franchised dealership, you can get it serviced at any garage who will use manufacturer approved parts…bare this in mind when getting your vehicle serviced, as it may well save you quite a bit of money. Make sure the car’s service history is up to date when its returned otherwise you could end up coughing for each missing service.

3) Do not sign for anything you don’t agree with.

Once you’ve signed for the damage on the vehicle, you have no argument ever..its that simple: If you don’t agree with the inspector, don’t sign to say you agree!

Which one is the look-a-like…we can’t tell!

Can you see which one is the George Clooney look-a-like, because we’ve looked and sure can’t ;-)

A LOCAL actor beat off stiff competition to be crowned ‘lookalike’ to Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney and will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the Oscars in Los Angeles in March.
